The Enhanced Land Command and Control (C2) Spearhead (EC2SPHD) programme has developed a ‘Microworld’, a conceptual framework that brings together data, architectures and algorithms for any defined area of operation or geographical region. The EC2SPHD has recently initiated an Operational Concept Demonstrator (OCD) that allows the user to interact with it through a Human Computer Interface which then provides advice/insights/recommendations/etc. to the user.
The SERAPIS Framework based study, led by QinetiQ with K Sharp providing Technical Leadership, completed a number of different assessment activities to provide analysis, insights and advice to the current state and future development of the Microworld. The work was divided into three tranches focused on the key themes of usability, trust and integration. The main activities included; an Expert User Experience Evaluation, a Information/Digital Trust Review and a Human Factors Integration Support and Human Factors Evaluation.
