The K Sharp team is proud to announce that we have been recognized as the top collaborator at the Centre for Photonics Expertise (CPE) at the University of South Wales' Future of Photonics event. Our collaborative Physiological Monitoring Array project, which combines expertise in optical measurement of human characteristics with the integration of other wearable technologies into a device, was the reason for the award.
Barry Kirby, our Managing Director, was blown away by the award and said, "This award recognizes our project and collaboration, which has really shown the value of academic and industry working together with a drive to produce meaningful and usable outcomes. Not only that, but a fantastic opportunity for a Welsh University to partner with a Welsh SME."
The Physiological Monitoring Array project has been a joint effort between K Sharp and the CPE, which aims to develop a wearable device that can monitor a variety of physiological parameters, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, in real-time. The device has significant applications in healthcare, sports, and emergency services.
The collaboration has been a great success, with both K Sharp and the CPE bringing their respective expertise to the project. K Sharp's knowledge in integrating wearable technologies and software has been combined with the CPE's optical measurement expertise, resulting in a device that is not only accurate but also user-friendly.
Receiving this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire K Sharp team, and we are honoured to be recognized as the top collaborator at the Future of Photonics event. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the CPE and other academic partners to develop innovative solutions that have a positive impact on people's lives.
